I, [19F], have recently started talking to this guy [19M]. We have been classmates four years ago and we reconnected through discord not too long ago. We played video games a few times and seemed to get along, we also share a few interests.
Immediately after meeting irl once, he started showing romantic interest in me. For example, he bought me a drink without asking, invited me to drive around and even bought me a tiny Lego set, which I pointed at at a store for a few seconds, without my notice. He sends me reels everyday and just seems like he wants to perhaps get together?
Issue is, I find it really suspicious that he became interested in me from just these few encounters, and he seems to be rushing a bit.
Today my friends told me that she had overheard this other girl say that she found [19M] rather creepy or weird, and that she thinks he might have ulterior motives and that I shouldn’t pursue him. My friend also mentioned that it’s impossible to like someone so quickly (even though she herself had crushed on a boy she barely knows as well a few weeks ago and was all giddy and tried going for him).
Also the guy apparently liked one of my other friends before, and has asked how the girl has been doing not too long ago. That gave me a bit of an ick. Still he seems into me even though I’m not the prettiest girl around.
I’m very confused on what to do. I don’t have feelings for him yet but l kind of would like to try dating. l’ve never had a boyfriend before so this is very tempting but my friend seems against it.
Also now that I think about it maybe he is weird, still he is very nice. AAAA. Please give me some advice on what I should do!
